About the Artist

I am Avery A. Greene – an independent songwriter writing acoustic/indie pop music.

Through my music I wish to re-live and share with you key moments I've experienced throughout my life: moments of fear, doubt and longing, alongside courage, passion and growth.

To bring them to life, I turned to Warren – a voice that lives nowhere but inside me. I'm grateful he showed up – he made all this possible.

Maybe
Acoustic Pop
Maybe it's time to take all the drawings off the walls
Maybe I'm fine with burying sculptures that don't reflect my soul
Maybe it's right to throw out the note sheets, close the door if nothing is happening in the score
But maybe I will, or maybe I won't
Maybe I do, just maybe I don't
Why this indifference? Maybe I'm hurt?
Maybe I'm tired, or maybe just bored
Or maybe it's the wrong time to listen to this wild and frantic soul
Maybe it's your last words that change the meaning of all it's worth – I hope I'm dreaming
It's the wrong time to look for what is there outside these walls
Maybe it's the long ride that's so confusing, you know?
Maybe it's time to leave all the sketches in the drawer, take off the dance shoes, avoid the piano, and go in search for more
Maybe it's right to take off the costume, leave the stage, if the curtain falls empty and I'm caged
But maybe I will and maybe I won't
Maybe I do, maybe I don't
Or maybe it's the wrong time to listen to this wild and frantic soul
Maybe it's your last words that change the meaning of all it's worth – I hope I'm dreaming
It's the wrong time to think I'll understand what's in these holes
Maybe it's the new light that's so confusing, you know?
But maybe I will, and maybe I won't
Maybe I want to, maybe I don't

Become Just Like
Everybody Else
Indie Pop
The shirt's on the bed, I fight the mirror and stare at my face
The club is a maze I'm terrified there's no way through, so I hold my place
"Come on, join the party
We'll surf all the waves of all those boys being arty"
Just maybe tonight with inspiration I'll paint new ways
And then this old voice just comes to my head uninvited and saying: "You better be staying home tonight"
If I choose to ignore what I've heard, press my hands to my face, I'm afraid I'll become just like everybody else
Into the noise, I feel the pull
Look, we're all inside
Undress myself, be unafraid without my skin I no longer hide
Look at me carrying fire
But nothing ignites, nothing is closer or desired
Still I drift among those who are flying above the clouds
And then a cold chill just moves through the room uninvited like saying: "You are going nowhere tonight"
If I hide from the truth in my chest, fix a mask to my face, I'm afraid I'll become just like everybody else
If I bleed out my colors for gray just to fit in the frame, I'm afraid I'll become just like everybody else
I can't shake the feeling there's something that's happening outside
I must face the feeling — it's not all that's flowing inside
I can't name the feeling, can't claim the feeling, something is slipping outside
I can't tame the feeling so time to go out on a ride
Since I chose to ignore what I've heard, took my hands off my face
I'm afraid I'll become just like everybody else
I'm afraid I've become just like everybody else

This Part of Your Life
Acoustic Pop
I'm boarding a train, not where I hoped I'd be
On the platform they're staring at me
At my sorrow
At the journey awaits me tomorrow
I sit in a carriage, the last one in line
Men are careless with speaking their minds
But I follow
'Bout someone who seemed to care less
'Bout a nest
And made his biggest mistake
I'm the part of your life you had felt should be over
Some other time
Some other life
With some other heart, maybe, this could be something you need
I'm back on the rail, I've suppressed how it feels
My companions don't all look as real
I'm restless
How quickly the tables have turned
From the top of the mountain, you showed me the clouds, and then told me: It's freedom that hides in the distance
One day we might but today now reveals that you're the biggest of fakes
I'm the part of your life you had felt should be over
Some other time
Some other life
With some other heart this could be something you really need
This part of your life you just said should be over
Some other time
Some other life
In some other light this could be something you really need
Someday a friend in some foreign place said: look at him, something true lives in his face
I thought: what the hell, it's one chance to take
What more could possibly break?
I ran to the station, pulling the brake
Just stop the bleeding or cool down this ache
Some other day, in some other way
At some other bay you won't say:
I'm the part of your life you now feel should be over
Some other time
Some other life
With some other heart, maybe, this could be something you need
This part of your life you now want to be over
Hey, that's all I've got
You can take it or not

A Plane Going Down
Indie Pop
All of a sudden, this plane's going down
All panic around
After only a few hours of flying
A trip to the bottom regardless of hopes, trajectory or dreams
Was it the pilot? the machines?
And what of the people expecting to watch our lives being spent?
It's all disappointment in the end
Trail me, don't bail on me though, yes I know, it's a winter sun
Stop me, don't drop me and take us, don't break us to bits of one
Grab me, don't nab me and frame me, don't blame me this plane's falling all the way to the ground as I thought we'd keep flying
Turns out we listened to music all night and spent all this time dreaming of furthest of all destinations
But all of a sudden something up high troubled the sky
Was it an error? was it I?
And what of the people who packed for the sun, got storm instead?
They're all disappointed in the end
Trail me, don't bail on me though, yes I know, it's a winter sun
Stop me, don't drop me and take us, don't break us to bits of one
Grab me, don't nab me and frame me, don't blame me this plane's falling all the way to the ground as I thought we'd keep flying
Yes, oh yes, I thought we'd keep flying
All of a sudden, this plane's going down
There's panic around
After only a few hours of flying

Free One
Acoustic Pop
Run fast, lost soul like the deer in the vale, like the wind in the fall
Lace up real tight so you won't have to stop and look back at what might
Bright stars above paving your way with some light and some love
A climb on the hill, a view of the mill – what's ahead?
A life that you chose and not one that is dead
Say, do you have confirmation on a new destination?
I would like explanation on why you won't hang around
Run for your dear life, free one from the guilt, from the past, from intentions – they all let you down
Out on the highways, wherever you'll be, turn your wheels around and just come back to me
Grey towns go by
In a beautiful one you again say goodbye
A climb on a shed, a view of the land – what's inside?
Underneath all this haste, is there pain that you hide?
Say, do you have hesitation on this new inclination?
I would like explanation on why you won't hang around
Run for your dear life, free one from the guilt, from the past, from intentions – they all let you down
Out on the highways, wherever you'll be, turn your wheels around and just come back to me
Run for your dear life, free one from the bricks, from the walls, from affection – they all let you down
Out on the highways, wherever you'll be, turn your wheels around and just come back to me

Safe to Stay
Indie Pop
Look at us: getting closer – In the papers, on posters all the words dissolving to blur
It brings out "The Composer" with a hunger for reimagining the score
It's the end of September
Now we are no longer strangers – Lying naked, in and outside the bed
Is to love means in danger – some sort of a fatal stance?
And I grow restless about the future ahead
Although we trust, then creeps "the need"
You hesitate, I stop to breathe at times I ache for a sign that it's safe here to stay
With fears that form a stream I sail up north to the land of schemes
At times I long for a sign that it's safe here to stay
Cause of time growing longer I become "The Explorer" with the question: Just how far to go?
Finding dust on those letters, I wonder about the end of the road
When night is falling, creeps "the need"
You hesitate, I stop to breathe at times I ache for a sign that it's safe here to play
With fears that form a stream I sail up north to the land of schemes
At times I long for a sign that it's safe here to stay
When darkness falling creeps "the need"
You hesitate, I forget to breathe
At times
By the dust on those letters, I could only be in my bed hiding from life
If only you meant this love that I've sensed

Something I Can Fight
Acoustic Pop
Deep within the horizon something is off
The clouds seem withdrawn, their colours have faded
The sky turns to gold, but no one can claim it
Here, we're sitting together your hands don't feel warm
I dare ask what's wrong, afraid of the answer
I won't make a guess, it won't make it better
And now, like when the seasons are turning an imperial act is destroying my grasp
And how, as the distance keeps growing, something unsaid is pulling me back
Lights off, no answering the door
A silent phone – they all hurt more
But I am here to make things right and troubling doubts are something I can fight
Deep inside of the ocean something is wrong
The whales seem upset, their echoes have scattered
They're swimming to shore – their songs have deserted
At home, we're lying together your words don't feel warm
I dare ask what's wrong – afraid of the answer
I won't make a guess – it won't make it better
And now, like when the weather keeps turning an imperial act is destroying my grasp
And how, as the distance keeps growing something unheard is pulling me back
Lights off, no answering the door
A silent phone, they all hurt more
But I am here to make things right and troubling doubts are something I can fight

This Is Our Sun
Indie Pop
One day soon we'll gather up our things, ignore the weather
Half a moon will be enough to light our way down south, wherever skies and seas are happy so we'll we, and whatever happens we won't mind
And Cid will cry
His heart is gonna pound there for the first time in a long time
And Betty, up a tree, she'll learn to see to distance – that's fine
And I will undermine the basics of what's passed and what's to come
But can we get it wrong?
Or have we all along?
Is the light too strong for us?
You say: time to start believing this is our sun and when it comes down we're lying in dark
No point in leaving
Nowhere to run
There's no place to hide where it's not cold
And clocks will stop so we'll go back to pace like all beginnings
We won't care to drop – a different kind of way from being forced to leaning
Find the flaws in the laws of mankind, and how they have held us to the ground too long
But can we get it wrong?
Or have we all along?
Is the light too strong for us?
You say time to start believing this is our sun and when it comes down we're lying in dark
No point in leaving
Nowhere to run
There's no place to hide where it's not cold
Time to start believing this is our sun and when it comes down, we're lying in dark
No point in leaving
Nowhere to run
There's no place to hide from being alone

First Time
Acoustic Pop
First time of love going wrong
So beautiful, proved not strong
That's anyone's biggest fear
All the way back home I thought of the old clichés, and how could they come my way leaving me here
One day my love chose to go away
An acceptable thing to stray
That's what everyone would tell you here
All the way back home I thought of uncertainty, and why does it have to be part of the deal?
Did you know of drifting far?
And did you feel the pain of fall?
Did you know what you're walking at?
And did you know what you're running from?
Did you know I'd come undone?
And did you know how fierce grief gets?
Did you know what's to lie on ground when once you were safe in bed?
And nothing seemed wrong
Did you know I'm losing air?
Now it's hard for me to breathe
Did you know what's to walk out bare
When once shoes were on your feet?
Did you know I'd come undone?
And did you know how fierce grief gets?
Did you know what's to lie on ground when once you were safe in bed?
And nothing seemed wrong
First time of love going wrong
So beautiful, proved not strong
That's anyone's biggest fear

Radio's On
Indie Pop
My pillow is all I left back home on the bed
Packed for the road – the many thoughts in my head
Of when I get scared and feel alone on the way
What if I fail to climb, and won't have around me someone to say:
You'll soon find a band, a singer too
They're waiting for you
Now the radio's on playing my song
Just when I thought of all the news that don't arrive
The radio's on
Was lost for so long, you know I almost didn't make it alive
A pillow is all I left back home on the bed
Packed for the road the many words mother said
Of when I get scared and feel alone on the way
What if I fail to climb, and won't have around me someone to say:
You'll soon find a band, a singer too
They're waiting for you
Now the radio's on playing my song
Just when I thought I couldn't dive
The radio's on
On the road for so long, you know I almost didn't make it alive
Your characters turn out too weak as they all run off from stage
And your music is too melancholic – who looks for sad these days?
Your stories are too much like fairytales – are you somehow still a child?
Maybe you should head back to where you came from – it can get pretty wild
Now the radio's on playing my song
Just when I thought this wouldn't thrive
The radio's on
On the road for so long, you know I almost didn't make it alive

What Makes the Music

// Songwriting
Honest Lyrics
Songs drawn from real moments — fear, longing, doubt, and courage — written to articulate what most people carry but rarely say out loud.
// Production
Acoustic Edge
Rooted in acoustic pop with an epic, cinematic sweep. Stripped-back vulnerability meets layered sonic ambition — intimate but never small.
// Voice
Warren's Voice
A voice that exists only inside — Warren is the persona that made these songs possible. Sincere, searching, and impossible to replicate.
// Themes
Universal Stories
Identity, conformity, abandonment, perseverance. Every track is a chapter in a larger story about what it means to stay true to yourself.
// Influences
Distinct Palette
The emotional directness of Benson Boone, the sonic lyricism of Alex Warren, and the narrative craft of Pet Shop Boys — combined into something new.
// Album
IMIR — Coming Soon
Irreparable Mistakes → Irreversible Changes arrives this summer. Ten tracks. One arc. A debut that doesn't hold back.

What People Say

There is a distinct, quiet hesitation that occurs just before crossing the threshold into a crowded room. It is that precise moment of social surrender that underpins "Become Just Like Everybody Else" — the striking debut single from Every Other Green.

"Become Just Like Everybody Else" hit me somewhere I didn't expect. It's a song about a night out, but it's really about the slow erosion of self. Rare stuff.

The production sits perfectly between intimate and anthemic. "Radio's On" gave me chills — the kind you get when someone finally says what you felt but couldn't name.

There's a confessional quality here that's hard to manufacture. These songs feel lived-in. "Maybe" is one of the most honest things I've heard this year.

Warren's voice carries both fragility and resolve in the same breath. "Safe to Stay" is a slow-burn masterclass in building tension without ever releasing it.

I kept coming back to "A Plane Going Down" — the imagery is visceral but the emotion underneath it is so tender. An artist who knows exactly what they're doing.
